Misaki Bench

The goal of this project was to create an outdoor seating group with a high design content--not normally found in outdoor furniture--utilizing sustainable materials.

The Misaki Group was constructed using either sustainably harvested Narra (a tropical hardwood similar to Teak), or recycled plastic made out of industrial sawdust waste and recycled milk jugs.

The design is influenced by Prairie School and Japanese design.
